AgriFarms sells farms in the Western Cape. We focus on wine estates, smallholdings, and livestock farms. Buying agricultural land is different from buying a house. The soil, water rights, zoning, and proximity to markets all matter. That is what we know.
Our Story
AgriFarms started in 2011 in Malmesbury. We work across the Western Cape’s farming regions: the Swartland, Cape Winelands, Overberg, West Coast, Karoo, and Garden Route.
We advise buyers on water rights, soil quality, and VAT. General residential agencies do not do this. Farming land has its own rules, and we know them.
Our Team
Andre Halvorsen, Principal
Andre Halvorsen has worked in Western Cape real estate for over 30 years. He runs AgriFarms and also founded Halvorsen Eiendomme, a family property business that has operated since 1995. The business is now in its third generation.
Andre helped develop the Mount Royal Golf and Country Estate in Malmesbury. He knows the Swartland’s farming potential and has built relationships with local farmers, attorneys, and banks over decades.

Rudolf Knoetzen, Agent
Rudolf Knoetzen has been with AgriFarms since 2010. He works as a real estate agent and manages the company’s website and digital presence.
Rudolf matches buyers with properties based on what they need. A buyer looking for irrigation land needs different information than someone wanting a livestock farm. He knows the differences between the Swartland’s wheat fields, Stellenbosch’s vineyards, and the Karoo’s grazing land.
