This farm in the Beaufort West district has the potential to be fully developed as an irrigation farm due to excellent underground water. The current area under irrigation is 10 ha. The water is pumped from boreholes into dams with solar energy and from here it gravitates to the lands. Only a portion of the water capacity is currently used. In years gone by, when diesel was still cheap, at least 40 ha were irrigated from the same boreholes. With the current solar technology available this can become a very profitable sheep farm as the natural grazing can be combined with the feed production to increase the carrying capacity of the farm. There is a big farm house that is still in use but it needs renovation.
